PhotoLabeler is a tool I made to add gps location data and some tags to digital photo's.

Most of my pictures I take during walks where I use my GPS device to track the route. Then when I am home I want:
* to add the gps location data
* to add some standard tags like, author, caption, keywords
* sort the photo's in directory structure which is date based
* no loss of photo quality

This little tool can be used to batch update the metadata of photos. If you have a gps trackfile you can match the location points in this file with your photo's.

There is already an excellent tool on reading and updating photometadata: ExifTool. PhotoLabeler is just a grafical userinterface on top of ExifTool and a gps mapper.

Using PhotoLabeler requires:
* Java jre 1.6 or higher. See: http://www.sun.com/java/
* ExifTool (version 6.99 or higher). See: http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/
